Job Summary: The Director serves in a leadership-level position providing strategic direction for account services. The Director is responsible for all activities and outputs of the assigned team and serves as the strategic contact and relationship manager for clients. This position will be responsible for setting and realizing client services financial goals and developing strategic communications solutions, plan writing, community relations, client internal communications, and media relations.
Duties: The position will be responsible for the following tasks.

Client services: Counseling clients on public relations strategy and tactics. Preparing public relations plans and proposals. Responding to and anticipating client needs.
* Project management: Managing and working with other members of the project team to implement programs on behalf of clients.
* Agency management: Responsible for financial management of client accounts, budgets and projects. Works with other members of the executive team to recruit, identify, hire, train and manage team members.
* Other as assigned.
Qualifications: Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of public relations or related experience, must be flexible, highly motivated individual who has the experience and ability to provide consistent client service and team support. Candidate must be willing to assist with all aspects of the company as needed.
* Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferred areas: communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or related field.
* Experience with corporate communications, internal communications, travel and tourism, and/or community relations is required.
* Prior agency experience preferred
* Comfortable in a very fast-paced and changing environment
* Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well in a team environment
* Reliable, deadline and detail-oriented
* Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects
* Excellent written and oral communication skills including knowledge of AP style and journalistic preferences
* Strong understanding of media and solid pitching experience a must
* Good presentation and public speaking skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
* Knowledgeable about social media communications strategies
