| Wal-Mart general offices in Bentonville was the scene of the chapter's regular monthly meeting where the hosts and provided an insight into the company's media relaitons activities. Greg Rossiter, Wal-Mart media relations director, discussed crisis communications as applied to the company's respose to the major Gulf Coast hurricanes of recent years. Jason Jackson, director of the Wal-Mart emergency response center, told how associates from various departments work as a team during a crisis to coordinate the message to news media as well as the delivery of services to affected communities. The luncheon meeting concluded with a short tour of the emergency response center. |
